A MESSAGE FROM NEW COMMITTEE MEMBER

Dandavats prabhus and didis,

Please accept my humble obesiances .All glories to Sri Sri Guru and Gauranga. All glories to Sri Sri Radha –Vinod- Bihariji.

At our recent annual general meeting I was elected treasurer and I am now giving all members of our sanga an update on the finances.

Most members will aware that the Giriraj Govardhana Gaudiya Math has a mortage on an as yet undeveloped block of land in Nullum St, Murwillumbah. Presently these payments are being met by just a few families in our sanga. If this block is to be developed into a kirtan hall, a meeting place, a temple or any name of a facility that promotes vaisnava and sadhu sanga and displays the glories of our spiritual master H.D.G. Srila B.V. Narayana Maharaja then more members of our community will need to help financially.

It is understood that many members of our sanga do not have a lot of money but even a small donation is worthwhile. I am requesting every member try to give a minimum of $ 5- $10 per week. These payments can be made directly into the temple account at a Westpac bank, by direct debit or in person to myself or another committee member who has their receipt book handy.

As well as these payments there are festival expenses. Today to celebrate this auspicious occasion bhoga, plates and cups were purchased. If anyone can help with these costs today please see me before you leave.

Again I know that there are always many demands on limited funds {try making these donations on pay day before it all goes} but I am confident the benefits unlike the funds are unlimited.

Please contact me if anyone has suggestions for fund raising. I hear that Mahaprabhu Dasa has invited 1000 friends to come when Srila Gurudeva visits in Feb.2008 and I guess they deserve some hospitality,
